Home Sleep Test, From Your Own Bed.
The diagnostic gold standard for sleep apnea — at home.
An at-home sleep test (HSAT) is an FDA-cleared, clinically validated way to diagnose obstructive sleep apnea without spending a night in a sleep lab. Our wireless ring sensor records your oxygen levels, heart rate, breathing patterns, and sleep stages while you sleep in your own bed — exactly the way you sleep every night.
How the home sleep test works
The process is simpler than most patients expect. From booking your virtual consult to receiving your treatment plan, the full diagnostic journey typically takes one to two weeks — most of which is just waiting for the device to arrive at your door.
- Virtual consultation with a board-certified sleep specialist
- FDA-cleared ring device shipped to your home
- Wear it for one night while you sleep normally
- Data uploads automatically — no setup, no wires
- Physician reviews results and creates your treatment plan
- Personalized therapy options reviewed in a follow-up visit
Why patients choose home testing
For most adults with suspected obstructive sleep apnea, an HSAT is just as accurate as an in-lab polysomnogram — and the experience is dramatically more comfortable.
Real-world data
You sleep in your own bed, on your own pillow, with your own routine — not a clinical environment that disrupts your normal sleep.
Fast results
Most results are reviewed and reported within 24–48 hours of returning the device. No waiting weeks for an appointment.
Insurance covered
Home sleep testing is covered by Medicare, Anthem, Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, Tricare, and most major insurers.
Frequently asked questions
Is a home sleep test as accurate as a lab study?
For most adults with moderate-to-high suspicion of obstructive sleep apnea, yes. The American Academy of Sleep Medicine endorses HSAT as a primary diagnostic tool for uncomplicated cases. Patients with significant comorbidities — congestive heart failure, severe lung disease, or suspected central apnea — may still need an in-lab study, and our specialists will let you know if that applies to you.
What does the device look like and how do I use it?
It's a small wireless ring you wear on your finger, paired with your phone via Bluetooth. There are no wires, no chest straps, and no nasal cannula. You pair it once, sleep one night, and the data uploads automatically the next morning.
How long does the entire process take?
From your initial consultation to receiving your diagnosis is typically 7–14 days. The device ships within 2–3 business days, you wear it for one night, return it, and your physician reviews results within 24–48 hours.
Will my insurance cover this?
Most likely, yes. We are in-network with Medicare, Anthem Blue Cross, Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, Health Net, Tricare, and Blue Shield of California. We perform a free insurance verification before you commit to anything, so there are no surprises. Self-pay options are also available.
What if I find out I have sleep apnea?
You're in good hands. Our sleep specialists handle the full continuum of care — from diagnosis through treatment, including CPAP therapy, oral appliance referrals, lifestyle counseling, and follow-up. You won't have to navigate it alone.
